If you have ANY history of cold sores (herpes) or fever blisters you need to obtain a prescription medication from your physician such as Valtrex or Famvir prior to any lip procedure. This medication should be taken at least 2 days prior, the day of, and 2 days after your lip procedure so you can avoid any outbreaks. If you insist you have no history of cold sores, you will be required to sign a Cold Sore Release form before your lip procedure.
